New Update

Hey everyone!! sooo sorry I havn't updated in....most of the time i've been here. lol. we're so busy here! I love it though. I don't really know where to start...so i'll just talk about this past week. Our speaker was Jake Hamilton and he spoke on Identity In Christ. Identity In Christ means confidence in who you are because of who He is. And your identity is not what you do but who you are in your heart. And you are the only person that determines how much of God you get. What really matters is your relationship with God because in the end, he's going to ask you, Do you know me? Also, you shouldn't believe something just because someone told you. But you should be challenging that person by going to the bible and seeing what it says. Before lecture started, Jake said we would probably get offended by what he was saying. And at times we did..a lot of times :) Because he would just say it as it is. And what he said really made you think. Like, do we really live out what we say in church? or sing in church? Or do we just go home and forget about it? Also, how you don't get saved just by praying the prayer then going on with life. But you really need to pursue God. For me, this week was challenging but it was really good. I feel this week, I can actually see i've grown a little.

Other than the crazy lectures, today we had Manny's Mustache Marathon! The guy's grew out mustache's and today at 8 am they ran 7 miles! Dressed up in 80's attire, and we even had water stations :)! Girl's just wore fake mustaches. I only volunteered. I was not going to run 7 miles that early in the morning:) Then after that we went to the beach and had barbequed hamburgers. They announced the winner then. And we had to vote on the best mustache haha. So yeah...interesting day:) But tonight we are all watching the movie Hook. I love movie nights because they feel like your going to the movie theater because we can watch them on the projector and you have everyone sitting around on the couches. We hardly watch movies because we're busy and we only can on the weekends. But when we do it's soo fun:)
